👋 About Me
Hello! I am Jinyi Wang (Jin-yi, pronounced “Gin-e”).
I am currently a PhD student at Linköping University (2023–present).
I received my Master's degree in Computer Science from Beijing University of Technology.
In my daily life, I often find myself asking "why": Why does this happen? What leads people to act the way they do? What process produced this outcome?
I am fascinated by the gap between what we observe and the underlying mechanisms that produce it.
Whether it is a user behavior, a reasoning process, or everyday phenomena, I enjoy exploring the hidden mechanisms that produce observable outcomes.
📊 Research Interests
Research keywords:
- Visual Analytics
- User Intention and Decision Making
- Sensemaking and Reasoning Processes
I am interested in developing methods and tools that help researchers and practitioners understand users' intentions, reasoning process, and decision-making behaviors when interacting with complex systems.
My work focuses on moving from interaction traces and observable behaviors towards explanations of underlying intentions and reasoning processes.
